OUR IMPACT

Literacy Lab’s team, as we worked together at Bring Me A Book, focused on getting books into the hands of children and families.
From June 1, 2013-May 30, 2014, under the direction of Executive Director Mialisa T. Bonta, the Take Home Books program lent 64,840 and served 49,968 families. 184 Bookcase Libraries were placed, serving approximately 5,520 students through the Bookcase Library programs; 150 First Teacher’s workshops were held, serving more than 3,000 parents; 1,500 students were provided with a total of 4,500 books through our Richmond Summer Giveaway program to prevent summer reading loss. The Digital4Literacy pilot initiative phase I, served 96 students and families who read over 3,500 books. And Counting. Learn about who we are:
