Richmond Summer Book Giveaway 2016

Our 6th Annual Richmond Summer Book Giveaway was our most efficient yet! With the help of our volunteers and community partners, we sorted and stickered about 4,000 books in under 5 hours. The next day, the Richmond Fire Department delivered the books to every TK and Kindergarten classroom in Richmond to help prevent the summer slide.

LitLab's 5th Annual Richmond Summer Book Giveaway to prevent summer reading loss was a great success! With the help of 36 volunteers, we sorted and stickered 4,500 books, for a total of three books for every Transitional Kindergartner and Kindergartner in Richmond.
