Our Integrated Approach
Literacy Lab recognizes that early learning for low-income children should happen everywhere-at home, in high-quality classrooms, and in real-time. Our programs address the lack of access to content and early learning environments that prevent or limit children from establishing a strong foundation. Learn about how our suite of programs work together to address every aspect of a child’s learning and language development.
Interactive Learning Tools
Literacy Lab provides access to both digital and physical books through the award winning program, Digital4Literacy, and our Take Home Books Program. Both programs are designed to facilitate interactive reading and learning experiences inside the home by providing high quality, bilingual content for early learners and their caregivers.
Access to Books & More
Literacy Lab is continuing the tradition started by our parent affiliate, Bring Me A Book, with the Bookcase Library Program and Book Giveaways, offering high quality culturally diverse children's books to schools, childcare centers, and more. Learn about our Bookcase Library and Book Giveaway programs.
Family & Educator Workshops
At Literacy Lab we believe that parents and caregivers are a child’s first teacher and working with childcare providers and educators ensures that children experiencing poverty have a community of support to help them build a strong learning foundation. We activate parents, caregivers, and educators with the tools necessary to help their children succeed. Learn more about the different workshops and communities of support we offer.
At Literacy Lab, we imagine and create programs using prototyping to design, keeping the experience of our children and families at the center as we design experiences that promote early learning and empower parents and caregivers. Recently, we’ve launched a special initiative, Numeracy through Literacy, that will focus on the importance of developing math knowledge and skills in the early learning years. Learn about our new programs and initiatives and how you can get involved.
